OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

3.7.5 DETECTION

In order to achieve a correct detection, keep the antenna of the instrument parallel to the plane
you are inspecting, the distance between the antenna and the plane being 3/5 mm.
METALLA PRO allows simultaneously detecting and displaying the presence of metal and/or
electric fields by means of a graduated bar for each kind of detection: a linear bar for Metal
Detection and a circular bar for Electric Cable Detection.
SELECTIVE DETECTION OF AN ELECTRIC LINE
In order to perform the detection of an electric line similar to the one shown in the example, do
the following.
In order to locate the line between the bulb and the switch, or between the switch and the
connector block, act on the switch to turn the bulb on.
In order to locate the line between the connector block and the outlet, apply an active charge to
the outlet itself.
IMPORTANT: These two operations are essential since METALLA PRO can detect electric
lines only when there is flow of electricity (when the bulb is turned on and an active charge is
applied to the outlet a flow of electricity is generated).
In order to detect the exact path of electric lines traced, sound the wall from top to bottom and
from left to right following an imaginary grid.
METALLA PRO indicates, on the round graduated bar, the detection of the electric line by
means of a signal proportional to the intensity of the charge applied and inversely proportional
to how deep the line is in the wall.
