Inspect the CTD sensor, transmittance sensor, antenna, hull, housing around the lower bladder, and the
test port for dents or any other signs of damage (refer to

Ensure the magnet is in place against the hull.

5.7.3. Assembly of transmittance sensor

Supplied separately, the transmittance sensor (1) must be assembled onto the float before set-up.
The transmittance sensor must be placed above the damping disk (2), just above the hole (3) used for its
power / data cable (4).
Position the transmittance sensor in such a way that its lower part be at the same level than the flange
(5) of the float (about 3 cm above the damping disk).
Place the pipe clamps (6) so that the black sensor support parts (7) are onto the marks of the float taking
care that the part of the yellow heat shrinkable sleeve be onto the transmittance sensor.
Tighten the pipe clamps (6).
Connect the power / data cable (4) to the connector (8) located on the bottom of the transmittance
sensor.
Check that the sensor is in vertical position (± 5° according to vertical axis).
