- It is absolutely forbidden to come between
the tractor (or the source of energy) and
the equipment when the engine is running
and the cardan shaft is connected, also if
the parking brake has not been pulled and
a block wedged under the wheels.
- Only use the cardan shaft provided for by
the Manufacturer.
- Check the cardan shaft regularly: it must
always be in an excellent state of repair.
- The cardan shaft must always be installed/
removed with the engine turned off.
- Take great care the cardan shaft is correctly
installed and protected.
- Before connecting the PTO make sure there
are no people or animals in the range of
action and that the chosen speed
corresponds to that allowed. Never exceed
the maximum speed.
- Do not connect the PTO with the engine
turned off.
- Always disconnect the PTO when the
cardan shaft makes too wide an angle,
never over 10-15 degrees (Fig. 5).
- Clean and grease the cardan shaft at the
required points only when the PTO is
disconnected, the engine turned off and the
parking brake on.
2.0 USING THE WOOD-CUTTER
The woodsplitter described in this brochure
has been designed exclusively to cut wooden
logs of maximum 100cm height and 50cm
diameter. The Manufacturer declines all
responsibility for any other use made of the
wood-cutter.
2.0.1 OPERATION
1)Place the woodsplitter evenly.
2) Check the oil level in the tank, through the
plug with the dipstick (8 Fig. 1); top up if
necessary.
110/120
Before plugging in to the power socket,
make sure the voltage corresponds to the
value marked on the data plate (4 Fig. 1).
3) Electric control model.
Connect the feed cable. Put the plug inside
the appropriate socket and turn on by using
the green button switch (12 Fig. 1).
In the version with the three-point
connection, hook the wood-cutter to the
three points of the tractor, insert the cardan
shaft correctly and couple the PTO (540
rpm).
Once the wood-cutter has been started, the
blade will go into its fully open position. By
using the adjustment nut (5 Fig. 1) it is
possible to vary the distance of the blade
from the anvil.
4) Position the block to be cut on the anvil.
5) Grasp the long holder ( 9 Fig1) in order to
avoid the log from falling down once cut.
6) Once the block has been fully clamped,
press the control levers; the blade will come
down to split the block. On releasing the
control handel bors (3 Fig. 1), the blade will
go back into its fully open position.
The wood-cutter has been designed so that
the control for the blade to come down is
only activated when both levers (3 Fig. 1)
are clamped on the block.
7) Open the log holder (9 Fig. 1) in order to
release the log that has just been cut.
