6.7 Remote control

Note: All modes and functions can be set using
the buttons on the appliance as well as with the
remote control. The remote control requires a CR
2025 button cell (included in the remote control).
Pull the contact protection (small plastic plates)
out of the housing before use.
•
Never use a battery type other than the speci-
fied one.
•
If the remote control is not used for a lengthy
period of time, remove the battery to prevent
it leaking.
•
Point the remote control towards the heater.
The range is max. 5 meters.
•
Direct sunlight and objects can considerably
reduce the range of the remote control.
•
Handle the remote control with care. Do not
drop it and keep it away from heat and mois-
ture.
Inserting the battery (Fig. 5):
1. Open the battery compartment cover by
pressing the lock (D) towards the middle and
pulling the battery compartment out at the
same time.
2. Make sure you fi t the battery with the + and
– terminals correctly positioned as shown on
the housing.
3. Press the battery compartment cover into the
remote control.
As the end user you are legally required to return
spent batteries. You can hand them in at public
collection points provided by your council or sales
outlets where batteries of this type are sold. Ob-
serve the instructions in section 11 as well.

7. Replacing the power cable

Danger!
If the power cable for this equipment is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its
after-sales service or similarly trained personnel
to avoid danger.

8. Cleaning, maintenance and
ordering of spare parts
Danger!
Always pull out the mains power plug before star-
ting any cleaning work.
8.1 Cleaning
•
Keep all safety devices, air vents and the
motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as
possible.
•
Clean the equipment regularly with a moist
cloth. Do not use cleaning agents
vents; these could attack the plastic parts
of the equipment. Ensure that no water can
seep into the device. The ingress of water into
an electric tool increases the risk of an elec-
tric shock.
8.1.1 Cleaning during non-use / minimum
intervals
The following minimum times tell you when vari-
ous parts must be cleaned. If the parts become
dirty sooner, cleaning must be performed more
often.
•
Emptying and cleaning the water contai-
ner
The water container must be cleaned every 2
weeks. Pull the water container (Fig. 3 / Item
9) out. Slide a suitably large trough under the
water container, remove the plug on the base
of the water container and allow the water in it
to drain out. Insert the plug back in place and
clean the container carefully with soap solu-
tion. Remove the soap solution as described
above and leave the container to dry. Insert
the plug back in place again. You can then fi ll
the water container again (see 5.2).

Cleaning the air intake filter (Fig. 6)
The air fi lter (Fig. 1/Item 8) needs to be clea-
ned once a week. Press the two latches (F)
and take out the air intake fi lter (8).
Note: Never use the equipment without air
fi lters. Use a vacuum cleaner or tap the dust
fi lter gently to remove the dust. If the fi lter is
very dirty, wash it carefully with warm water.
Then allow to dry thoroughly and fasten to the
equipment when dry.

Cleaning the honeycomb insert (Fig. 6)
The honeycomb insert (H) must also be clea-
ned every 4 weeks.
Important! You must again remove the air
intake fi lter as previously described. Clean
it with soapy water and then allow it to dry.
