1. This product must be installed and connected by a qualified electrician in
accordance with electrical codes and building codes in your area.
2. Protect the heater with a suitable circuit breaker or fuse, in accordance with
the electrical specifications on the rating plate of the heater.
3. The heater must be connected to a grounded electrical outlet.
4. Before installing, repairing or cleaning the heater, turn off the power at the
circuit breaker / fuse Make sure the heater is appropriate for its intended use.
5. The heater can prematurely age and yellow if the capacity of the heater is
insufficient for the size of the room.
6. Do not use the heater if any of its parts has been or is heavily exposed to
water. This heater must not come into contact with a source of water and must
be protected from splashes.
7. If the installer or the user modifies the heater, EBI Inc. (EnerG+®) denies all
responsibility for any damage resulting from this modification.
8. Respect distances and installation positioning.
9. Make sure that the place where the heater will be installed is strong enough to
support the total weight of the heater with its mounting brackets.
10. Check that the power supply voltage is consistent with that shown on the
rating plate of the heater.
11. When activating the heater for the first time or after a long period of non use,
it may produce some temporary odors and whitish smoke. This is normal.
12. The heater is hot when in use. Before touching it, please wait for a few
minutes.
13. Avoid all flammable objects or furniture to come into contact with the heater.
Keep them at least 24 inches (61 cm) from the heater. Not complying with this
warning could result in a fire.
14. Some materials are more sensitive to heat than others, so make sure that
those who are close to the heater can withstand the heat.
15. Avoid blocking the air vents of the heater. Their obstruction could lead to
overheating, which could cause a fire.
16. Avoid inserting foreign objects into the air intake vent of the heater as this
may cause an electric shock that could damage the heater or create a fire.
17. This heater has hot parts and produces sparks inside. It is not designed to be
used or stored in areas that are damped or that contain flammable liquids,
combustible, corrosive, abrasive chemicals or explosives such as gasoline, paint,
or other chlorine.
18. Cut off the power supply at the circuit breaker / fuse and call customer
service if you feel the heater is damaged or defective.
19. Accumulated dirt can cause the malfunction of a component or discoloration
(yellow) of the heater. It is the responsibility of the user to evaluate if the heater
should be cleaned. If not maintained properly this could cause a fire hazard.
20. If the thermal protection of the heater remains activated or activates and
deactivates repeatedly, call customer service at 1-866-967-7333. The thermal
protection activation indicates that the heater has been subjected to abnormal
operating conditions.
