1. Introduction

The SC-01 heating controller is a control computer that can be used for electric heating
elements, which are suitable for a PWM Pulse-Width-Modulation control. The SC-01 can
work as a standalone, but also as a slave in an existing climate computer.

2. Safety instructions and warnings

 This manual contains all the necessary information for connecting, adjusting and
operating this product. Read the manual carefully before installing and using the
product.
 This device is subject to the warranty and liability regulations, as set out, among other
things, in the general terms and conditions for sale of Wouters Groep BV, under
which agreement this device was supplied.
2.1.

Application

 Use other than as described in this manual is not permitted without the express
permission of Wouters Klimaattechniek b.v.
 In any case, the SC-01 is not a safety component.
2.2.

Assembly instructions

 Installation of the SC-01 must be performed by a qualified electrician following the
applicable legal requirements.
 Wouters Klimaattechniek BV. points out that if the SC-01 is used to control moving
systems, the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC applies.
 Due to the nature of the SC-10 controls, a controlled system can start at any time.
Wouters Klimaattechniek b.v. points to the fact that risks and hazards of moving parts
can be present when this type of system is in operation. For this reason, no people
may be present in the immediate vicinity of moving parts. The moving parts must be
equipped with guards and/or protective devices.
 Install a lockable isolating switch in the vicinity of the SC-01 to disconnect the SC-01
from the power supply.
 Electric motors controlled through a SC-01 must never be connected without a suitable
motor protection, lockable isolating switch.
 External devices without a SELV or Class II power supply may not be connected.
 If this product is installed in a control cabinet, the warranty becomes void.

Operating instructions

 The SC-01 may only be operated and set up by persons who are familiar with the
operating instructions described in this manual.
 The person operating or adjusting the SC-01 must be aware of all potential hazards
of the systems controlled by the SC-01.
 The computer is an electronic device and you should always be aware that technical
malfunctions may occur.
