ZERO Total Chlorine is measured directly after free Chlorine without emptying the cuvette. The DPD 3 tablet is added to the sample water which already contains the DPD 1 tablet (dissolved). Combined Chlorine is calculated as Total Chlorine minus free Chlorine. The free chlorine measurement must be taken within 1 minute after dissolving the tablet.
