Safety instructions for waste water treatment plants
Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance!
Read the safety instructions and the op-
erating instructions
To avoid danger to persons, animals and
property before the first operation of the
system, read:
– All safety instructions in this brochure
– The operating instructions of the plant
– the respective national statutes of the
legislator
– The safety instructions which are at-
tached to the used chemicals (normally
on the packing label).
– The EC safety data sheets that are also
enclosed with the used chemicals
– Product information sheets for the used
chemicals that can be requested from

Applicable to the Federal Republic of Ger-
many
– Hazardous good regulation (GefSToffv)
– Bio-material regulation (BiostoffV)
– Federal Accident Prevention Regulation
for factories (BUV)
– Regulations and information supplied
by the trade associations

Please remember:
– that you have understood all the instruc-
tions
– that all users of the plant are informed
about the instructions and have under-
stood them.
Ensure regular maintenance
Only a well-maintained plant is safe. Please
follow the maintenance instructions and in-
tervals given in the operating instructions.
No warranty claims will be entertained in
the event of non-compliance.

Only use original parts
Use exclusively original parts of the manu-
facturer or those parts recommended by
him. Observe all instructions on safety and
use which are accompanying these parts.
This concerns:
– replacement and wear parts
– Accessory parts
– Fuel
– Chemicals for waste water treatment
Safety instructions for users, opera-
tors and experts
Danger
The following instructions indicate a direct
risk. Failure to observe the instruction may
result in death or serious injuries.
Risk of electric shock!
In plants that have a mains plug, never
touch the mains plug with wet hands.
If an extension cable can be used (see
instructions)
– Protect it with spray water guard
– It should have the cross-section and
length outlined in the instructions
– It should not lie in water.
Electrical connecting wires or extension
cables must not be damaged through
being driven over, crushed, or pulled or
the like. Protect the cable from heat, oil,
and sharp edges.
Set the main switch to OFF and pull out
the mains plug before carrying out any
tasks - cleaning or maintenance tasks -
on the unit. Secure the main switch
against being switched on inadvertent-
ly.
