Important advice
When using the machine, the following basic precautions should be taken :
– Carefully read the instructions before using the appliance for the fi rst time.
– Before connecting your iron to the mains, make sure that your mains voltage corresponds to the voltage
indicated on the rating plate.
– This machine should only be used for its intended purpose: ironing and pressing.
– When unplugging the machine, pull the plug, not the cable.
– Make sure that the power cable does not touch any hot surfaces.
– Always make sure that the power lead is completely taken out of its casing while you are ironing (hot surface).
– Never plug in nor unplug if your hands are wet.
– Do not use the iron if it is damaged, if it leaks, or if the power cable is damaged. To avoid any risk of electric
shocks, do not dismantle your iron. Contact your nearest After Sales Service dealer for servicing or repair
– Great care must be taken when ironing in the presence of children. Do not leave the iron unattended whilst
switched on.
– This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
– To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high wattage appliance on the same circuit.
– If an extension lead is absolutely necessary, a 10 amp cable should be used. Ensure no one can trip over or
unplug the extension lead. It must be fi tted with an earth connection.
– Use a mains supply which has an earth connection, for your own safety.
– Never immerse the machine in water or other liquids, not even partially.
– Do not touch the hot surfaces.
– Do not forget to remove the protective fi lm on the soleplate in case there is one.
– Take care to place the iron on its rest after each ironing operation. Never put the iron down vertically.
– For any repair, contact an approved registered after-sales service centre, so that the repair will be in
accordance with the standards indicated in this instruction book.
– Any repair done by an unauthorised person would cancel the warranty.
– Once out of order, every appliance must be made unusable before being thrown away. To this aim, the power
cord must be cut.
