Intended use
The product is intended for playing analogue audio signals (line-level) as they are applied e.g.
to the line output from a sound card or of a portable MP3 player.
The connection of the audio signal is done with a 3.5mm stereo socket, power is supplied either
via 4 batteries/rechargeable batteries type AAA/micro or via USB.
This product complies with the applicable National and European requirements. All names of

Safety instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequen-
tial damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The warranty
will be void in such cases.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible because of
safety and approval reasons (CE). Never disassemble the product.
• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children.
• Only use the product in dry indoor locations. It must not get damp or wet.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous playthings for
children.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental drops, even
from a low height.
Notes on batteries/rechargeable batteries
• Keep batteries/rechargeable batteries away from children.
• Check that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries/rechargeable batteries (pay
attention to the plus and minus!).
• Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around; they could be swallowed by
children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Make sure that batteries/echargeable batteries are not short-circuited, opened or thrown into
fire. There is a risk of fire and explosion!
• Chemical liquid may leak out of spent or overaged batteries, which may damage the device.
If not used for a longer period (e.g. in case of storage), remove the inserted batteries/accumu-
lators.
• Leaking or damaged (rechargeable) batteries can cause burns, if they come into contact with
the skin. For this reason you should use suitable protective gloves.
• Only use a battery/rechargable battery of the correct size and the recommended type.
• Either use 4 batteries or 4 rechargeable batteries. Never mix normal batteries with recharge-
ables!
• Do not mix full batteries/rechargeable batteries with half-full ones. Always replace the whole
set of batteries/rechargeable batteries.
Power supply via batteries/rechargeable batteries or USB
• Power can be supplied either via 4 batteries/rechargeable batteries type AAA/micro or via
USB.
The audio playback is always done with the 3.5mm stereo socket „INPUT" at the
loudspeaker. The supplied USB power cable is intended for power supply of the
loudspeaker but not for transmission of the audio signal.
• When inserting batteries or rechargeable batteries, open the battery compartment at the
bottom.
Insert 4 batteries/rechargeable batteries type micro/AAA, with the correct polarity (observe +/
Plus and -/Minus). Close the battery compartment.

• Alternatively, connect the socket „DC IN" at the loudspeaker to a free USB port on your com-

puter, using the USB cable supplied.

Audio playback
• First of all, insert the batteries or rechargeable batteries as described above in the battery com-
partment of the loudspeaker or use the supplied USB cable for power supply.
• Switch the loudspeaker off (switch position „OFF") and connect the 3.5mm stereo socket
„INPUT" at the loudspeaker to the audio output of the computer or MP3 player or similar using
the supplied 3.5 stereo cable.
• Turn the volume button „VOLUME" to the left (turns the volume down) and then switch the
loudspeaker on (switch position „ON"). The power LED at the loudspeaker lights up.
• Start the playback of the audio signal and set the desired volume with the button „VOLUME".
• When batteries/rechargeable batteries are inserted, switch the loudspeaker off when it is not
in use (switch position „OFF").

As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/
rechargeable batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited!

The batteries need to be replaced when the power LED at the loudspeaker does not
flash or flashes only weakly after switching the loudspeaker on (switch position
„ON").
Only the line-level can be used as the audio signal. Higher signal levels will destroy
the loudspeaker set.
When disposing of an unserviceable product, do so in line with the relevant statu-
tory regulations.
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these symbols to
indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The symbols for the rele-
vant heavy metals are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead. You can dispose
of your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at your local collecti-
on point, our branches or anywhere where batteries/rechargeable batteries are
sold!
You thus fulfil the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the
environment!
