Hints
When the hand lever of the VARIO MATIC is in the
fully operational position, the gap between the back-rest
screw
and the cutting edge of the cutting tool
should be 0.5 mm.
Turn adjusting ring as long as is necessary to have the

depth stop in a position that corresponds to the desi-
red cutting depth.
Important: When handling the depth stop, always
G
seize it by the rear part (Fig. C), never by the front part
(Fig. D), where there are the cutting blades.

Trouble shooting
.
If you cannot start the machine or if it does not run
smoothly:
.
Pour a few droplets of lightweight nonresinous oil into
G
connection
. Switch your VARIO DRILL on and off

again several times, as often as is necessary to make
it run smoothly.
Should the drive still not run smoothly, ask your local
G
dealer. Do not open machine! Do not clamp it in In
a vise!
In the event of poor performance (output):
Open air-volume reducing valve.
G
In the case of insufficient air pressure in the supply
G
line, adjust pressure to 6 bar (with the machine run-
ning).
Poor compressed-air flow rate: Make sure the diame-
G
ter of the supply line is greater than 6 mm.
Is the silencer soiled or clogged?
G
Should the machine still not work, or not work as it
should, it might be necessary to have it repaired. Ask
your local dealer. Do not open machine!
