4. SETTING UP
4.1.
The fire container
4.2.
The expansion valve
WARNING:
The unit will work only with gas in the gaseous state. Always make sure that supply cylinders are
upright; do not place cylinders on their side, as this would mean they release liquid gas, which
would do irremediable damage to the entire gas circuit.
Place the unit on a flat surface which will not be
damaged by high temperatures.
Check that there are no inflammable products
in the GF42's area of operation.
Position the unit so that the remote-control
cable and the gas supply pipe are upwind.
Place the gas cylinder a good distance from
the fire container; use the entire length of pipe,
with no bends.
Manually screw the gas expansion valve on
to the cylinder.
Open the gas cylinder tap completely.
Do not attempt to start the GF42 below
the 4-position on the expansion valve.
Do not smoke during these operations.
There is no solenoid valve to open the gas
supply on this equipment: as soon as the
expansion valve is in position 1, 2 or 3,
the equipment is being supplied and gas will
be coming out of the burners.
We recommend that you should use industrial
type, 13 kg or 35 kg cylinders of Propane gas
manufactured by Antargaz. To find your local
