a) Battery replacement
1. Slide out the battery compartment (14), which is located at the bottom of the remote control.Remove
the battery holder.
2. Place a CR2025 button cell battery in the battery holder and note the correct polarity ("+" = positive, "-"
= negative).
3. Insert the battery holder.
Cleaning
If the dust catcher or the suction grating (on the back of the device) is not properly inserted, the
product cannot be switched on. The power supply is automatically interrupted.
The product should be cleaned once a week so as to obtain maximum performance.
1. Before cleaning or maintenance work, switch the product off and pull the mains plug out of the mains
socket.
2. Carefully clean the enclosure of the product with a lightly moistened cloth. Do not let any liquid get into
the product.
3. Clean the gratings and air slots using a hand vacuum cleaner with moderate suction power.
a) Cleaning the dust catcher
1. Push the dust catcher button (8) and then pull out the dust catcher (7).
2. Use a mild detergent to wipe off dust from the collector bars and then rinse it with clean water. Wait until
the dust collector is completely dry.
3. Carefully turn the air purifier upside down and lightly shake it to get any dust that is inside out of the
device.
4. Insert the dust catcher into the product until it clicks into place.
b) Cleaning the tips of the ion generator
There are two spring-tensioned fingers attached to the lower end of the dust catcher that free the tips of the
ion generator of dust when the dust catcher is pulled out. If pulling the dust catcher out once does not achieve
the desired level of cleanliness, repeat the procedure.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted (rechargeable) batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) (Rechargeable) batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/rechargeable
batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that disposal
in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd =
Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on (rechargeable) batteries, e.g. below the trash
icon on the left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores
or wherever (rechargeable) batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
