TROUBLESHOOTING

The table includes some of the most common problems, their causes and remedies.
PROBLEM
The saw blade breaks.
The saw blade comes
out of the rollers.
Saw blade wobbles,
can't cut straight.
Squeaking sound
when the machine is
running or cutting.
The saw blade stops
during use or loosens
after the machine is
turned off.
The engine won't
start.
The motor stops
during use.
Overheating of the
saw blade or burning
of the workpiece.

CAUSE
A. Too much tension on the
blade.
A. The blade and rollers are not
aligned properly.
A. Insufficient blade tension.
B. Set of knife guides too high.
C. Blade guides or backpressure
bearings are not properly
adjusted.
A. Insufficient blade tension.

bearings are not properly
adjusted.
A. Insufficient blade tension.
A. No power supply.
B. Thermal overload
triggered.
C. Electrical or motor failure.

A. The saw blade is blunt.

SOLUTION
A. Reduce blade tension.
A. Adjust the alignment of the blade
and roller.
A. Increase blade tension.
B. Make sure the height of the blade
guide is adjusted just above the
height of the workpiece.
C. Adjust knife guides and backpressure
bearings.
A. Increase blade tension.
B. Adjust knife guides and backpressure
bearings.
A. Increase blade tension.
A. Make sure the machine is connected
to a 240 VAC power supply.
B. Turn off the machine and allow the
engine to cool down before using
it again.
