Before the first use
When using for the first time, operate the unit

toast as it is possible that a slight odour will
develop due to possible dust remnants on the
heating spirals.
Unpacking
To unpack the unit, proceed as below:
Take the unit out of the carton.

Requirements for the installation location
For safe and flawless operation of the unit, the
place of location must meet these prerequi-
sites:
The unit must be set up on a firm, flat, level,

non-slip and heat resistant base that has suf-
ficient load bearing capacity.
Select the place of location so that children

cannot reach the hot surfaces of the unit.
The unit is not intended for installation in a

wall or a built-in cupboard.
Do not set up the unit in a hot, wet or moist

environment.
The electric socket must be readily acces-

sible so that the power cord can be easily
unplugged.
The unit emits a great amount of heat to-

wards the top. Never place the unit on a cup-
board, under curtains or next to combustible
materials.
Never place the unit near paper, fabric or si-

●
milar materials. The bread can burn.
Making toast
Connect the unit to the mains supply:
Put the toasting goods into the slot.

Select the desired degree of browning (1

light - 6 very dark)
Press the lift button down until it latches.

Extra-lift
The extra-lift eases removing the toasted
goods.
