BATTERY RESERVE
Your clock has a battery back-up feature in case of power failure. 2xAAA 1.5volt alkaline
battery (not included) are required. You must put the battery into battery compartment located
on the bottom of the unit to ensure the battery back-up feature is ready, in case of a power
failure . lf the power fails, the back-up battery will automatically continue operation of the clock
and maintain actual time and alarm time.
However to prolong battery life, the display will not be lit. When electrical power is restored, the
display will light up again. During a power failure, when the clock is under battery, the clock may
gain or lose a few minutes per hour, this may require resetting of time for precise timekeeping.
NOTE: Remove the battery if the clock is to be unplugged for a long period of time to avoid
unnecessary battery drain. It is recommended that you change the battery once a year to
ensure that the battery back-up system is operating properly.
