2. Set-up
Set up the TCL 8000 on a stable flat surface or firmly screw it
onto a tripod. First align the tripod head horizontally as much as
possible since the automatic levelling feature of the cross-line
laser compensates an angle of max. +/-3.5° . When no t using
a tripod, the device can be aligned approximately by using the
base screws, if necessary.
3. Operation
Switch on the instrument. The operating indicator lights
up red and 2 horizontal lines light up. The levelling
indicator (green) flashes during automatic levelling.
Activate 2 additional horizontal lines.
Activate 2 vertical lines in X-direction and the plummet
point.
Activate 2 additional vertical lines in Y-direction and the
plummet point.
The laser lines can also be deactivated again by pressing the
various buttons for horizontal or vertical lines.
The cross-line laser can be rotated by 360° to the desired
targets. Precise adjustment of the laser lines is possible with
the fine-adjustment knob of the 360° later fine-adj ustment.
The laser lines can be aligned accordingly using the graduated
circle.
If the working range of automatic levelling is exceeded, the
laser lines and the levelling indicator flash. Faulty
measurements are thus avoided.
