Installation of Solar system P1, P3 and
Stockminder
The ELEPHANT SOLAR system consists of
a Solar Module and a maintenance-free and
rechargeable 6 volts/12Ah Solar Battery.
Be sure that the ON/OFF button is in its OFF-
position
To place the solar battery into the battery box,
force the handle of the fencer toward the clips.
In this position the top section can be remo-
ved. Now stick on the solar battery to the wall
of the battery box.
Through one of the vent holes in the bottom
of the battery box, connect the cable from the
solar module to the terminal block placed on
the top of the solar battery. Blue is "-" and red
is "+".
Special for P3 "+ Max" should be used.
By means of the angle shaped clamp (fixed to
the solar module), the washer plate and the
finger screw, the solar module should now be
fixed to the handle.
Now place the fencer unit outdoor with the so-
lar module faced due south, and establish the
connections to the fence wire and earth peg.
Notice! Before bringing the fencer into ope-
ration, it is advisable to let the solar module
charge the battery for a couple of days.
Then SWITCH ON the fencer, and under
normal conditions the system will operate from
March to October.
Special for P3:
In the periphery periods it is advisable to keep
an eye on the Battery Control Lamp. If there
are more than 3 seconds between the flashes,
the intensity of light is not satisfactory.
ATTENTION! Even when the fence unit is not
in use, ensure that the solar module is always
exposed to daylight. The Fencer Switch
should be turned into OFF position.
The solar system can be connected to
a 6, 9 or 12 V battery/accumulator.
ON/OFF button
Turn the energizer on and off.
Earth clips
Connect the black wire to the earth clip.
Lamp in the right side
Flashes when the voltage is above 2000V.
Fence clips
Connect the red wire between the fence
clips and the fence.
Lamp in the left side
(Special for P3 and P6)
Indicates level of the battery voltage. This
battery control lamp flashes fast, when the
battery is new and slower as the voltages
decrease. The flash expire when the voltage
gets below 6V.
