1. Intended Use

The prismaHYBERNITE Heated Breathing Tube is intended for use with the
prismaLINE WM100TD, WM110TD and WM120TD Positive Airway Pressure (PAP)
device . The prismaHYBERNITE heated tube helps to prevent moisture
condensation in the breathing tube of adult patients requiring continuous positive
airways pressure or mask ventilation. The prismaHYBERNITE can be used in the
sleep lab and in the home.

2. Warnings and Cautions

Usage:
•
Do not cover the Heated Breathing Tube with any object including cushions,
blankets, a textile insulation sleeve, a plastic sleeve, etc, to avoid an elevated
airflow temperature.
•
Always use the prismaLINE System in combination with humidification to avoid
an elevated airflow temperature.
•
Always ensure that a positive airflow is established through the
prismaHYBERNITE Heated Breathing Tube prior to connecting the power to the
tube, to avoid an elevated air temperature within the tube.
•
Do not operate your System close to other heat sources including lamps,
electric blankets, etc., to avoid an elevated airflow temperature.
•
Do not use the prismaLINE System when the room temperature exceeds 30°C
(or 86°F) in order to avoid an elevated airflow temperature.
•
Always connect-disconnect the breathing tube from the humidifier and mask by
using the grips on the cuffs, in order to avoid damage to the breathing tube
•
Do not pull the tube when disengaging the tube from the humidifier.
Cleaning :
•
Do not heat or sterilize the prismaHYBERNITE Heated Breathing Tube.
•
Do not use harsh soaps, aggressive detergents, solvents or alcohols to clean
the breathing tube.
•
Do not use a dishwasher to clean the Heated Breathing Tube.
•
Do not use brushes or objects to clean the inside of the Heated Breathing Tube
as it may damage the tubing.
•
Do not use (microwave) ovens, fans or any other appliances to dry the Heated
Breathing Tube after washing. See cleaning instructions.
•
Only reassemble the system when the tube is fully dry.
