HOW IT WORKS
normal operation
1.
With chisle (B) in starting position, turn screw of anvil (A) to squeeze opposite nut flats bet-
ween the chisle and anvil (see illustration).
2.-3. Tighten thrust screw (C) slowly to split the nut, stopping the process briefly to build up full
hydraulic pressure should be too low, back off thrust screw (C), advance anvil (A), and
retighten thrust screw.
4.
The maximum capacity will be reached at a torque of :
60 Nm for 56-1 | 70 Nm for 56-2 | 50 Nm for 56-3.
DO NOT EXCEED THESE VALUES TO PREVENT ACCIDENTS AND DESTRUCTION
OF THE TOOL!
NOTE:
Service conditions require the flat configuration of these splitters, which excludes the
provision of the chisle with a spring-loaded rest system. The chisle must, therefore, each time
be pushed back by hand, as described below:
1.
Back off thrust screw (C).
2.
Use some kind of spacer between chisle (B) and anvil (A) and tighten the latter to push
chisle back into starting position.
