INSTALLATION INFORMATION:

Use the plugs or the supplied 3M double-sided tape to attach the base plate to the
ceiling.

If you want to attach it with screws, place the mounting plate at the desired instal-
lation location and mark where the holes need to be drilled. Drill two holes with a
diameter of 5 millimetres. Push the plastic plugs into the holes. Insert the screws
into the mounting bracket and screw firmly into the dowels. Place the smoke
detector on the mounting plate and secure by turning clockwise.
USING, TESTING AND MAINTENANCE:
Normal condition:
When the smoke detector is in normal operation, the LED will light briefly ap-
proximately every 40 seconds. The moment the detector enters the smoke or
fumes, the alarm will sound. When the smoke or fumes disappear, the alarm will
automatically stop.
Alarm:
When the smoke concentration reaches the alarm point and the smoke detector
detects smoke, the red indicator LED will flash and a loud alarm tone will be
heard. In alarm status, the smoke detector generates at least 85dB(A) sound
pressure. You can temporarily interrupt the alarm signal by pressing the test
button. If the smoke concentration is still too high after about 9 minutes, the alarm
signal will be heard again. Please always check your house in case of an alarm to
exclude fire.
Testing:
It is recommended that you test the smoke detector every week. If you briefly
press the test button, the red LED indicator will flash sequentially and signal tones
will sound. These signal tones will stop automatically. Do not test the Smoke
Alarm with candles, open flames, cigarettes or similar.
Low battery voltage:
If the battery voltage is too low, your smoke alarm's red LED indicator will flash
once every 40 seconds and at the same time the alarm will beep once.
