AVANT LA PREMIERE UTILISATION
- Faites fonctionner une première fois la cafetière sans café pour rincer le circuit.
PREPARATION DU CAFE
- Utilisez uniquement de l'eau froide.
- N'utilisez pas la verseuse sans son couvercle (fig. 9).
- Selon la référence de votre cafetière, un système de clapet anti-goutte permet de
retirer la verseuse en cours de réalisation.
- Vous pouvez réchauffer votre café en mettant la verseuse au four micro-ondes.
NETTOYAGE
- Ne pas nettoyer l'appareil chaud.
- L'appareil froid peut se nettoyer avec un chiffon humide.
- Les parties amovibles peuvent être nettoyées dans un lave vaisselle.
DETARTRAGE
- Détartrez votre cafetière environ une fois par mois.
- Vous pouvez utiliser une poudre détartrante vendue dans le commerce ou du
vinaigre d'alcool blanc.
- Si vous utilisez de la poudre détartrante du commerce, suivre les indications
figurant sur le sachet.
- Utilisation du vinaigre d'alcool blanc :
- versez dans le réservoir une tasse d'eau et une tasse de vinaigre
- faitez fonctionner l'appareil une dizaine de secondes, éteignez
l'interrupteur, laissez macérer 30 minutes puis actionnez
l'interrupteur pour finir de vider le réservoir
- procédez ensuite à 2 fonctionnements à l'eau claire (réservoir plein)
pour rincer le circuit.
CONSIGNES DE SECURITE
- Avant de brancher l'appareil, vérifiez que la tension de votre installation
correspond à la mention gravée sous l'appareil.
- Ne pas laisser l'appareil à la portée des enfants.
- Débranchez l'appareil avant chaque nettoyage. Ne pas laisser pendre le cordon.
- N'utilisez pas l'appareil si la prise, le cordon de l'appareil ou lui-même présentent
des signes de détérioration. Si le câble d'alimentation est endommagé, il doit être

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
• Operate the coffee maker for the first time using water only in order to rinse
through the system.
MAKING COFFEE
• Do not use warm water.
• Do not use the jug without the lid (fig.9).
• Thanks to the anti drip system you can take off the glass jug while the coffee is
flowing in order to serve a cup of coffee (depending on model).
• The coffee maker is supplied with a permanent filter. This can be used instead of a
paper filter (shown in the diagram). Do not use a paper filter and permanent filter
together as this may cause an overflow of coffee out of the filter holder.
• Wash the permanent filter after each use.
• Adjust the number of scoops of coffee to the strength of coffee required. As a guide,
one scoop for every two cups gives a medium to strong coffee.
• Once the coffee has filtered through, we recommend that you allow it to stand on
the hot plate for 5 minutes before drinking.
• Note: cold milk straight from a refrigerator will decrease the temperature of the
coffee.
• The jug is microwave proof
CLEANING
• Unplug and leave to cool before cleaning.
• Wipe the outside of the coffee maker with a damp sponge.
• Do not immerse the appliance,plug or cord in water.
• The removable parts can be washed in a dishwasher.
DESCALING
• Descale your coffee maker once a month.
• Always remove the permanent filter from the filter holder before descaling
• You can use descaling powder or white vinegar.
• If you use descaling powder, follow the instructions mentioned on the bag.
• If you use white vinegar :
- Pour 1 cup of water and 1 cup of white vinegar into the watertank
- Switch on and after 10 seconds, switch off
- Leave for 30 minutes to allow the solution to descale the appliance. Switch on
again and let the remainder of the solution filter through the coffee maker.
- Operate twice with cold water only to rinse out before re-using.
SAFETY WARNINGS
• Be sure the power supply corresponds to that shown on the rating plate of the
appliance. Be sure your socket is fitted with an earth pin.
• Keep out of the reach of children.
• Always disconnect from the mains supply when not in use and before cleaning.
• Do not use the appliance if either it or the cord is damaged, it has been dropped
and is visibly damaged or functions abnormally.
• If an extension lead is used, it must be earthed in good condition.
• Do not immerse the appliance, plug or cord in water.

• Connect the green/yellow wire to the terminal in the plug marked "E" or by the
earth symbol or coloured green or coloured green and yellow.
• Connect the brown wire to the terminal in the plug marked "L" or coloured red.
• Connect the blue wire to the terminal in the plug marked "N" or coloured black.
• A 13 amp fuse should be fitted when the appliance is connected to a BS 1363 A
plug.
• Seek professional advice if unsure of the correct procedure for the above.
• Important : if the electrical cord of this appliance is damaged or shows signs of
wear, it must only be replaced by an authorised Tefal Service Centre (see section
After Sales Service).
About your factory fitted plug
(supplied with certain models only)
• The cord is already fitted with a plug incorporating an appropriate fuse. If the plug
does not fit your socket outlet, see paragraph below. Should you need to replace
the fuse in the plug supplied an appropriately rated approved BS 1362 fuse must
be used (refer to wiring instructions specification for fuse rating). If the plug
supplied does not fit your socket outlet, it should be removed from the mains lead
and disposed of safety. The flexible cord insulation should be stripped back as
appropriate and a suitable alternative plug fitted.
• If the plug has external access to the fuse (non-rewirable type plug) please note
that the fuse cover is an important part of the plug. Please ensure that it is always
refitted correctly. If you lose this cover please do not use the plug. You may contact
Tefal UK Limited for a replacement.

VOOR HET EERSTE GEBRUIK
- Laat vóór gebruik een vol reservoir water doorlopen (zonder filter en zonder koffie)
om het apparaat schoon te spoelen.
HET ZETTEN VAN KOFFIE
- Gebruik nooit warm water in het reservoir.
- De glazen kan nooit zonder het deksel gebruiken (fig. 9).
- Een aantal uitvoeringen van dit koffiezetapparaat zijn voorzien van een
druppelstop, zodat de kan tijdens het zetten van het apparaat gehaald kan worden.
- De glazen kan mag in de magnetron gebruikt worden.
SCHOONMAKEN
- Vóór het schoonmaken de stekker uit het stopcontact halen en het apparaat laten
afkoelen.
- Het afgekoelde apparaat met een vochitg doekje afnemen.
- De losse accessoires zijn vaatwasmachinebestendig.
ONTKALKEN
- Wij raden u aan het koffiezetapparaat ongeveer 1 keer per maand te ontkalken.
- U kunt gebruik maken van ontkalkingspoeder voor koffiezetapparaten (in de handel
onder verschillende merken verkrijgbaar) of van schoonmaakazijn.
- Volg in het geval van een speciaal ontkalkingsmiddel de aanwijzingen op de
verpakking van dit middel op.
- Bij het gebruik van schoonmaakazijn:
- Schenk 1 kopje azijn en 1 kopje water in het reservoir.
- Zet het apparaat gedurende een tiental seconden aan, schakel het
apparaat dan met de aan/uit-schakelaar weer uit. Laat de vloeistof 30
minuten inwerken. Zet het apparaat weer aan en laat de vloeistof
doorlopen.
- Laat daarna nog minstens 2 volle reservoirs schoon water doorlopen.
VEILIGHEIDSMAATREGELEN
- Controleer voordat u de stekker in het stopcontact steekt of de spanning van uw
lichtnet overeenkomt met de spanning, die op het typeplaatje staat aangegeven.
- Houd get apparaat buiten bereik van kinderen.
- Haal de stekker voor het schoonmaken uit het stopcontact. Laat het snoer niet over
de rand van het aanrecht of de tafel hangen.
- Gebruik het apparaat niet als de stekker, het snoer of het apparaat zelf
beschadigingen vertonen.
- Een eventueel te gebruiken verlengsnoer dient in uitstekende staat te verkeren.
- Het apparaat niet in water dompelen of onder de kraan houden.

- Das Gerät und alle Zusatzteile auspacken.
- Lesen Sie die Gebrauchsanleitung sorgfältig durch und befolgen Sie die

- Ziehen Sie das Kabel komplett aus der Vorrichtung.
- Nehmen Sie die Kaffeemaschine bei der ersten Benutzung nur mit Wasser (ohne
Kaffeepulver) in Betrieb, um die Leitungen auszuspülen.
KAFFEEZUBEREITUNG
- Verwenden Sie kein warmes Wasser.
- Benutzen Sie nie die Kanne ohne Deckel (Abb.9).
- Dank des Tropf-Stops können Sie die Glaskanne während des Brühvorgangs
entnehmen, um eine Tasse Kaffee zu servieren (je nach Modell).
- Die Kanne ist mikrowellengeeignet.
REINIGUNG
- Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker und lassen Sie das Gerät vollständig abkühlen.
- Die Außenfläche der Kaffeemaschine mit einem feuchten Schwamm abreiben.
- Die abnehmbaren Teile können in der Spülmaschine gereinigt werden.
ENTKALKUNG
- Entkalken Sie lhre Kaffeemaschine ca.1 mal pro Monat mit Entkalkungspulver oder
Essig.
- Wenn Sie Entkalkungspulver verwenden, befolgen Sie die Anweisungen auf der
Verpackung.
- Wenn Sie Essig verwenden:
- Mischen Sie 1 Tasse Wasser mit 1 Tasse Essig.
- Schalten Sie die Maschine für 10 Sekunden ein.
- Schalten Sie die Maschine aus und lassen Sie den Essig ca. 30 Minuten
einwirken. Wieder einschalten und Flüssigkeit durchfließen lassen.
Vor dem nächsten Brühvorgang mindestens 2 mal mit klarem Wasser
ausspülen.
SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
- Die Übereinstimmung der Netzspannung mit der auf dem Geräteschild
angegebenen Spannung überprüfen.
- Nicht in Reichweite von Kindern stellen.
- Das Gerät sollte nach jedem Gebrauch und vor jeder Reiningung abgeschaltet
werden.
- Das Gerät niemals verwenden, wenn:
* das Kabel defekt ist

- La jarra es apta para el microondas.
LIMPIEZA
- Desenchufe y deje enfríar la cafetera antes de cualquier operación de limpieza.
- Limpie el exterior de la cafetera con una esponja húmeda.
- Las partes extraíbles pueden lavarse en el lavavajillas.
DESCALCIFICACIÓN
- Descalcifique su cafetera una vez al mes.
- Para ello, puede utilizar un producto descalcificante o vinagre blanco.
- Si utiliza producto descalcificante, siga las instrucciones del fabricante.
- Si utiliza vinagre blanco:
. Vierta 1 taza de vinagre y 1 taza de agua en el depósito de agua.
. Conecte la cafetera durante 10 segundos y desconecte.
. Deje actuar el producto descalcificante durante 30 minutos, conecte la
cafetera para vacíar el depósito.
. Haga funcionar la cafetera durante 2 veces con agua fría para aclarar los
circuitos.
CONSEJOS DE SEGURIDAD
- Compruebe que la tensión de su instalación coincide con la indicada en la placa del
aparato.
- Mantenga el aparato lejos del alcance de los niños.
- Desenchufe el aparato antes de proceder a una operación de limpieza o

PREPARAZIONE DEL CAFFE'
- Utilizzate unicamente acqua fredda.
- Utilizzate la brocca con il suo coperchio (fig. 9).
- A seconda del modello della caffettiera, un sistema antigoccia vi permette di ritirare
la brocca durante la fuoriuscita del caffè.
- Potete riscaldare il caffè mettendo la brocca nel fomo a microonde.
PULIZIA
- Non pulite l'apparecchio se è caldo.
- L'apparecchio freddo può essere pulito con un panno umido.
- Le parti amovibili dell'apparecchio sono lavabili in lavastoviglie.
DISINCROSTAZIONE
- Disincrostate la vostra caffettiera una volta al mese circa.
- Potete utilizzare una polvere disincrostante o dell'aceto bianco.
- Se utilizzate della polvere disincrostante, seguite le indicazioni del fabbricante.
- Se utilizzate dell'aceto bianco :
- versate nel serbatoio una tazza d'acqua ed una di aceto
- fate funzionare l'apparecchio una dozzina di secondi, spegnete
l'interruttore e lasciate riposare per 30 minuti poi azionate l'interruttore
per svuotare il serbatoio
- fate funzionare ancora 2 volte con acqua, per sciacquare il circuito.
CONSIGLI DI SICUREZZA
- Prima di collegare l'apparecchio, verificate che la tensione della vostra installazione
corrisponda a quelia dell'apparecchio.
- Non lasciate l'apparecchio alla portata dei bambini.
- Scollegate l'apparecchio prima di ogni operazione di pulizia. Non lasciate pendere
il cordone.
- Non utilizzate l'apparecchio se il cordone, la presa o il prodotto stesso presentano
segni di deterioramento.
- Se utilizzate una prolunga verificate che sia in perfetto stato.
