HSS-88: Replacement of the Diamond Grinding Disc and Corundum Grinding Disc
GB
WARNING:
Disconnect the power plug before starting any maintenance work.
1. Loosen the star handles to take off the front cover.
2. Loosen the central screw on the axle counter-clockwise and hold the grinding disc.
3. If necessary loosen the thrust piece by sticking a screwdriver between the thrust
piece and the grinding disc and take it off together with the PVC washer.
4. Screw on the puller which is supplied with the replacement grinding disc onto the
now visible thread. Then you pull off the grinding disc down from the axle by
screwing in the central screw.
5. Clean the shaft stub and brass bushing thoroughly and grease them slightly with the
lubricant supplied with the replacement grinding disc. Put on the grinding disc by
slightly turning. Put on the thrust piece and the PVC washer and screw on the
central screw.
6. Check if the disc runs smooth by pushing it with the hand.
Advice: Use a piece of chalk and hold it steady to the disc while you twist it with the
hand. Through this you could notice a possible hit which you could fix by pressing
with the heel of hand.
Attention!: Please do not use any tool for this! In case you cannot correct the hit
please contact our service team.
7. Hold the grinding disc firm and screwing on the fixing screw tight. Check again for
any hits. If you notice any hits please follow step 5.
8. Clean the contact surfaces of the housing parts and seal them with the grease
supplied by applying a line of grease on one part of the housing. Do not spread it.
9. Put back the front plate and fasten the star handles tightly. First the bottom star
handles, then the top star handles. Now spread the grease and remove any grease.
Please also use the delivered grease for greasing the windings!
