5. Function
The enclosures certified for hazardous areas in protection mode Ex d are robust materials designed to
meet the highest requirements for use especially in the oil and gas, chemical, pharmaceutical and food.
The flameproof enclosures DE8BC are available in many sizes, in painted steel or stainless steel AISI
316L. They are valuable for control, monitoring, automation, distribution board, motor starter or any other
applications. They are suitable for the design of complex systems.
These enclosures are designed to receive:
Internally, standard electrical components (not certified for explosive atmospheres)
On the surface, components such as pushbuttons, switches, pilot lights that have be certified in the
protection mode flameproof Ex d
