    Electrical Systems Danger The risks of fire or explosion may result from improper use of electric DC and AC systems. The risks of electric-shock hazards may result from improper use of electric AC system. Warning Do not work on a live electrical system. Do not modify the electrical system of the boat or the relevant diagrams: It is important that the installation, maintenance and any modifications be carried out by a technician qualified in marine electricity.

    Transporting For optimum handling, the trailer must be properly loaded and balanced. 1. Keep the center of gravity low for best handling. 2. Approximately 60 percent of the boat’s weight should be positioned on the front half of the trailer and 40 percent in the rear.

    Operation 1. Inflation a- Valve cap b- Plunger a) To inflate the chamber, first unscrew the valve cap by turning a quarter of a turn counterclockwise. Check that the plunger in the center of the valve is closed i.e. upper position. If closed i.e. spring compressed, down position, push the plunger down and rotate to the closed position.
  • Page 18 Caution Do not use a compressed air source to inflate the tube or you may compromise the integrity of the seam or internal baffles. Seams or baffle rupture due to non-respect of inflation procedure is not covered under the warranty. 2.

Make sure to use a tow line that is rated at least 5 times the weight of the boat being towed. The boat should only be towed using the towing eye. Molded handles, lifelines and cleats are not designed to be used for towing.

    2. Recovery-getting back onboard The means for getting back onboard must be able to be deployed by one person alone in the water, with no other help. We recommend the use of the Highfield optional foldable stern ladder. Danger Make sure the means for getting back onboard are readily accessible and easy to use by someone alone in the water 3.

    For upholstery, Highfield is using marine grade fabric to offer best resistance to UV and ageing. Periodic washing with mild detergent and warm water is the best way to keep your upholstery look good. Special vinyl cleaner can also be used to remove difficult stains.

(3) Repair PVC boats: Highfield Inflatables that have tubes constructed with Valmex PVC coated fabrics require PU based adhesive and RC hardener. Acetone solvent is recommended to prepare the surface before gluing. Use only recommended solvent and adhesive.

Larger holes or cuts will require proportionately larger patches but always ensure you have at least 30mm of patch around the perimeter of the cut or hole and the corners are well radiused. c) Next hold the patch on the tube and mark out around it with a pencil.

    Elektrische Anlage Gefahr Bei unsachgemäßem Umgang mit den Gleich- und Wechselstromanlagen besteht Brand- und Explosionsgefahr. Bei unsachgemäßem Umgang mit der Wechselstromanlage besteht die Gefahr eines Stromschlags. Warnung Arbeiten Sie nicht an der elektrischen Anlage, solange diese unter Spannung steht. Modifizieren Sie die elektrische Anlage oder die entsprechenden Schaltpläne nicht: Es ist wichtig, dass Installation, Wartung und jegliche Modifikationen von einem auf Schiffselektrik spezialisierten Fachmann vorgenommen werden.

    Transport Für ein optimales Handling muss der Bootsanhänger ordnungsgemäß beladen und ausbalanciert werden. 1. Halten Sie für die beste Handhabung den Schwerpunkt möglichst weit unten. 2. Circa 60% des Gewichts des Bootes sind auf der vorderen Hälfte und 40% auf der hinteren Hälfte des Bootsanhängers zu platzieren.

Leistung (1) Für die beste Leistung muss das Boot im Wasser gleiten. Gleitet das Boot nicht, prüfen Sie die folgenden Punkte: a) Stellen Sie sicher, dass Bilge und Deck trocken sind.

Stellen Sie sicher, dass ein Schleppseil verwendet wird, das für mindestens das fünffache Gewicht des geschleppten Bootes ausgelegt ist. Das Boot darf nur über die Schleppöse geschleppt werden. Haltegriffe, Rettungsleinen und Klampen sind nicht für die Verwendung beim Schleppen vorgesehen.

    2. Bergung – Wiedereinstieg in das Boot Die Mittel, um an Bord zurückzukommen, müssen von einer Person, die sich im Wasser befindet, alleine benutzt werden können, ohne andere Hilfe. Wir empfehlen die optional erhältliche Highfield Badeleiter, fest installiert am Spiegel .

    Reiniger wie Geschirrspülmittel, oder einen bei den meisten Bootsausrüstern erhältlichen und für die Verwendung mit Schlauchbooten empfohlenen Reiniger. Für die Polsterung verwendet Highfield ein seewasserbeständiges Material, um den besten Schutz gegen UV-Einstrahlung und Verwitterung zu erreichen. Regelmäßiges Abwaschen mit einem milden Reiniger und warmem Wasser erhält das gute Aussehen der Polsterung am besten.

(3) Reparatur von PVC-Booten: Highfield-Schlauchboote, die über Schläuche aus mit Valmex PVC beschichteten Materialien verfügen, erfordern Kleber auf PU-Basis und RC-Härter. Es wird empfohlen, die zu reparierende Oberfläche vor dem Kleben mit Aceton-Lösungsmittel zu behandeln. Verwenden Sie nur die empfohlenen Lösungsmittel und Kleber.

    Die Garantie gilt nur für von Kunden bei zugelassenen Highfield-Händlern erworbene Produkte. Die rechtzeitige Durchführung routinemäßiger Wartung, wie im Handbuch beschrieben, ist Voraussetzung für die Gültigkeit der Garantie. Führt der Kunde diese Wartung durch, behält sich Highfield Boats das Recht vor, zukünftige Garantieleistungen vom Nachweis sachgemäßer Wartung abhängig zu machen.
