Radio Frequency (RF) exposure
THIS DEVICE COMPLIES WITH INTERNATIONAL GUIDELINES FOR EXPOSURE
TO RADIO WAVES.
Your mobile phone is a radio transceiver. It was designed and
manufactured to comply with the limits recommended by international
guidelines (ICNIRP) for exposure to radio waves. These limits are part of
a set of guidelines and establish permitted levels of RF energy for the
population. These guidelines were developed by independent scientific
organisations through periodic and thorough evaluation of scientific
studies.
Recommendations for exposure to radio waves use a unit of measurement
known as SAR (Specific Absorption Rate). The SAR limit stated in the
international guidelines is 2.0 W/kg*.
During tests to determine the SAR value, the phone is used in standard
operating positions and operated at its highest certified power level in
all tested frequency bands. As the SAR value is determined at the highest
certified power level, the actual value of the phone during use may be
well below the maximum value. This is because the phone is designed to
operate at multiple power levels so that it uses only the power it needs
to access a network. In principle, the closer you are to a base station, the
lower the power output of the phone. Before being marketed, all phone
models must be tested to ensure compliance with the European R&TTE
