Intended use
The ELEM GARDEN TECHNIC
Electric Hoe is designed for
loosening large lumps and
hardened soil in small to
medium-sized cultivation areas in
domestic gardens and allotments.
It is not designed for use for public
grounds, parks, sports centres,
roads, agriculture or forestry.
Compliance with these
instructions provided by ELEM
GARDEN TECHNIC is a
prerequisite for using the Electric
Hoe correctly.

V Never disable the safety devices.
v Inspect the Electric Hoe before each
use.
v Do not use the Electric Hoe if safety
devices (starting lock-out;
safety cover) and/or the hoe blades are
damaged, bent or worn.
To avoid imbalance, worn or defective
parts and bolts must only be replaced in
sets.
Check area before beginning to
work
v Look for and remove any foreign
bodies (e.g. stones, branches,
etc.) while working.
v If you should hit an obstacle while
you are working or if the hoe blades
jam, switch off the Electric Hoe,
disconnect the mains plug, and wait
until the hoe blades have stopped.
Then remove the obstacle.
v Inspect the Electric Hoe for any
damage and have this repaired if
necessary.
Applications / responsibilities
The user is responsible for accidents
with other persons or damage to their
property.
V Only use the Electric Hoe for the
purposes specified in these
operating instructions.
Do not overload the motor.
v Do not apply additional weight to the
Electric Hoe.
v Disconnect the mains plug after use
and inspect the Electric Hoe, in
particular the hoe blades, regularly for
damage and have it repaired if
necessary.
