Generally
This appliance is for private use only and must not be used commercially. Please read
the instruction manual carefully and keep it at a safe place. When the appliance is
given to another person the instruction manual should be passed to that person, too.
Only use the appliance as described in the instruction manual and pay attention to
the safety information. No liability for damages or accidents will be accepted, which
are caused by not paying attention to the instruction manual.
Safety Instructions
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capacities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or
separate remote control system.
The appliance must only plugged in according to the rating label. The maximuim
Wattage is 1650W at 230V~. Take care for sufficient fusing.
Never immerse the appliance or the base in water or any other liquid (danger of
electrical shock). Protect the appliance from getting wet.
Never use the appliance when the power cord or the can is damaged.
To avoid any hazard conditions all repairs at the appliance, e.g. exchanging the
power cord, must be done by an authorized service partner.
If an extension cable is used it must be taken care that it is suitable for the appli-
ance.
Never touch the power cord with wet hands.
Never pull at the power cord
Take care that the power cord of the base and the can do not touch any hot sur-
faces (e.g. stoves).
The power plug must be pulled out of the socket after each use.
The housing kettle have after cooking residual heat.
Danger of scalding!
Never use the appliance without water and do not overfill the can. Take care of the
max. indication mark. When the kettle is overfilled hot water can spill out, without
water the overheat protection will be released. In that case cool down the appli-
ance completely and then fill water inside.
Important! Fill the kettle with water only. Milk or convenience products can burn in
and damage the appliance.

Before the first usuage
Boil water with a little vinegar. Cool down and then boil again water without vinegar
to clean the appliance.
Water boiling
Fill fresh water inside the kettle (either through the scale filter or by opening the
lid).
Check the quantity of water at the water level indicator at the sides. Do not fill over
the max. printing.
Close the lid and put the kettle on the base,
Turn the thermostat to the intended temperature. The following temperatures are
roughly: Min = ca. 68°C, Med = ca. 84°C, Max = 99°C
Push the ON/OFF button the water level indicator is illuminated blue. After some
time the water starts to boil.
The kettle switch off after the intended temperature is reached.
The heating process can be stopped by pushing the ON/OFF button or by lifting the
kettle shortly.
Only boil with closed lid and attached scale filter, as else the stop automatic is not
working correctly.
The temperatures are roughly. When you prepare food for infants then
always check the temperature of the food carefully because of the
danger of burns.
Cleaning:
Never immerse the base or the kettle in water.
Danger of electrical shock!
The lid cannot be removed.
Clean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
By the time lime scale is inside the kettle. Fill the appliance up to the max water
level with water and 1 cup of vinegar. Boil it one time and then leave it for some
hours inside the kettle. Put the scale filter also in some vinegar. De-scaling liquids
must be used according to the specifications of the producer, but do not heat it up.
Rinse the kettle carefully.
