1. Product Description
Bees will lay their eggs into the wooden tubes and then block the, until the newly hat-
ched bees make their way out in spring. Bees are active by April and pollinate stone- and
pomaceous fruits, as well as strawberries. Ladybirds feel comfortable in dense natural
materials. They are not only a delight for your children, they reduce the population of
lice in your garden considerably. They also look shelter for the night and for hibernation.
2. Operation
Hang up the insects hotel in a wind- and rain sheltered, but sunny place in your garden
or on your patio. If they find the food in the surrounding area, bees and ladybirds will
gradually settle down in the Insect Hotel. Various insects are very useful in our garden,
reducing the population of vine lice and pollinating flowers. The insects nest and hi-
bernate in the Insect Hotel. Especially for children it is a great event to watch them.
Important warning when drilling in walls:
Before drilling, make sure that there are no gas, water or power lines located at the drilling
spot. Installation may only be done by competent persons. Please pay attention to the
condition and material of the wall as the included mounting material is not suitable for
all wall types. Please ask an expert for advice concerning suitable screws and dowels. For
improper mounting and resulting damages the manufacturer assumes no liability.
Please note:
1. Hang the Insect Hotel in a wind and rain sheltered, but sunny position.
2. The front of the house should point ideally in southern direction.
3. Please leave the house in its place during winter, as caterpillars and other insects
nest and hibernate in it.
4. Please do NOT paint or varnish the house, otherwise no insects will nest in there.
