If the sanding frame is not being used, the
locking shaft (13) can be rotated a quarter
of a turn. It is not necessary to remove the
locking shaft because the crankshaft will
park inside the recess (11).
Mounting and removing the stationary stand
(fig. A & F)
With a stationary stand (option), the machine can be
used in a stationary position both upside down and
horizontally.
• If required, mount the sanding frame (14) as
described above.
• Place the belt sander on the stationary stand (18).
Guide the cord away at the side of the clamping
lever (12).
• Place the fixing bolt (19) and tighten the round
nut (20) (see inset in figure F).
• To remove the stationary stand, proceed in
reverse order.
Dust extraction (fig. A)
Since woodworking with a sander
produces dust, always install a dustbag
designed in compliance with the
applicable directives regarding dust
emission.
Do not use a dustbag or vacuum
extractor without proper spark protection
when sanding metal.
Do not sand magnesium!
• Place the dustbag (7) over the flange (21) or
connect a vacuum extractor.
• For efficient dust extraction empty the dustbag
when it is about one third full.
• Remove the dustbag from the flange, open the
zipper and gently shake out the dustbag.
