Safety device
The appliance has a safety system which
disconnects the appliance automatically
if it is connected without any water in it.
This is purely a safety function and if it is
used very often it can shorten the life of the
kettle.
Alternately, every time that the kettle is
removed from the base it will disconnect
automatically.
DO NOT USE THE KETTLE TO HEAT ANY
LIQUID OTHER THAN WATER.
Cleaning
1. Remove the lid (Fig. 6) and the filter
(Fig. 9)
2. Clean the filter regularly rinsing it under
the tap or if the filter is incrusted with
scale, use a soft brush to remove it. The
filter can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
3. Do not forget to replace the filter in the
lid (A) before putting the lid back.
4. Clean the outside of the kettle with a
soft damp cloth making sure that the
electrical components remain dry.
5. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents,
degreasers, etc. to clean any part of the
kettle.
Descaling
It is recommended to descale the
kettle periodically, as usage and the
corresponding water hardness can produce
scale, which directly affects the kettle
operating correctly.
Use commercial descaling agents or
vinegar.
If you wish to use vinegar, follow these
steps:
1. Boil a litre of water with 2 soup spoons
of wine vinegar in the kettle.
2. Clean and rinse the kettle thoroughly.
3. Repeat if necessary.
5. INFORMATION FOR THE CORRECT
DISPOSAL OF ELECTRICAL AND
ELECTRONIC APPLIANCES
At the end of its working
life, the product must not be
disposed of as urban waste.
It must be taken to a special
local authority differentiated
waste collection centre or
to a dealer providing this service. Disposing
of a household appliance separately avoids
possible negative consequences for the
environment and health deriving from
inappropriate disposal and enables the
constituent materials to be recovered to
obtain significant savings in energy and
resources.
To remind you that you must collaborate with
a selective collection scheme, the symbol
shown appears on the product warning
you not to dispose of it in traditional refuse
containers.
For further information, contact your local
authority or the shop where you bought the
product.
