In case of spill, brine is not irritating, nor toxic and nor harmful, does not produce noxious fumes. It is
however recommended to avoid contact with eyes.
•
Never disassemble the components of the valve.
•
Check that during installation pipes are without any working shavings or any other foreign bodies.
•
Provide a power supply plug 230 Volt +/– 10% - 50/60 Hz.
•
For a proper working of the softener, do not make any extension on the power supply cable.
•
After installation, make sure that the unit does not stand on the power supply cable.
•
Place the vessel and the salt tank close to each other, on a flat and solid surface, in a dry room
protected from frost and hygienically suitable, away from sunrays and atmospheric agents, by
taking care of leaving free rooms for maintenance.
•
Connect the brine suction hose between the tank and the head (in the monobloc model it is
connected already).
•
Install a filter (6) between the by-pass for the cutting out of the system and the water supply entry
of the softener.
•
For in-out connections of the softener to the system use flexible hoses or vibration-damping joints.
•
Connect the drain hose of the valve and the overflow hose of
the salt tank to the drain with two separate hoses (supplied with
the system – see installation drawings). IMPORTANT: The drain
must be free (at atmospheric pressure) and not sealed.
•
Provide a siphon drain pipe with enough draining capacity (Ø
25 mm for models up to Decalux 25).
•
The drain must be lower than the "overflow" level of the tank.
