CARING FOR YOUR MACHINE
To ensure the best possidle operation of your machine, it is necessary to
keep the essential parts clean at all times. Always disconnect the machine
from power supply by removing the plug from the socket-outlet.
CLEANING THE FEED DOGS AND HOOK AREA
1. Raise the needle to its highest position.
2. Remove the needle plate (1)
3. Remove the bobbin case (2)
4. Clean the feed doge and hook area with the lint brush.
NOTE: Put drop of sewing machine oil on the hook race as indicated
by the arrows A.
5. Replace the bobbin case with the projection (3) positioned against
the spring (4). Replace the needle plate.

1. Machine not properly threaded.
2. Thread entwined around bobbin.
3. Needle inserted correctly.
4. Thread tension too tight.
5. Thread of incorrect size or poor quality.
1. Bobbin threaded incorrectly.
2. Bobbin wound unevenly or too full.
3. Dirt on the bobbin holder.
1. Needle inserted incorrectly.
2. Bunt or blunt needle.
3. Incorrect size of needle
1. Machine not properly threaded.
2. Bobbin threaded incorrectly.
3. Blunt needle.
4. Threaded tension too tight.
1. Bobbin threaded incorrectly.
2. Machine not properly threaded.
3. Tension not adjusted properly.
1. Needle is not raised.
2. Needle inserted incorrectly.
3. Bent needle.
1. Lint and dust accumulated around feed dog.
1. Fabric pulled while sewing,

* Buttonhole lever is not lowered completely.
* Buttonhole foot is not attached.
1. Dirt or lint accumulated in the hook race and feed dog.
Correction
1. Re-thread machine.
2. Remove entwined thread.
3. Re-insert needle.
4. Radjust thread tension.
5. Choose correct thread.
1. Re-thread the bobbin.
2. Rewind the bobbin.
3. Clean the holder.
1. Re-insert needle.
2. Insert new needle.
3. Choose correct size needle for fabric.
1. Re-threaded machine.
2. Re-thread the bobbin.
3. Insert new bobbin.
4. Readjust thread tension.
1. Re-thread the bobbin.
2. Re-thread machine.
3. Readjust thread tension.
1. Raise the needle.
2. Re-insert needle.
3. Insert new needle.
1. Clean the feed dog area.
1. Do not pull fabric.
2. Select correct foot and pattern.
3. Re-insert needle.
4. Choose correct size needle and thread.
1. Insert plug fully into outlet.
2. Turn on the switch.
3. Push spindle to the left.
4. Lower the foot.

* Lower the buttonhole lever.
* Attach the buttonhole foot.
1. Remove the needle plate and bobbin holder
and clean the hook race and feed dog.
