 Once you have pivoted all the locking buckles
down, lift the motor head off the filter case.
Preparing the filter materials
 Take the filter media securing plate (7), all the filter
baskets (11) and the filter materials (8,9,10,12,13)
out of the filter case.
 Remove the packs of filter materials.
 Dispose of the packs in an environment-friendly
manner.
 Clean the Tetra BB bio filter balls, the Tetra BF
biological filter foam and the Tetra CR ceramic
filter rings with clear tap water before using for the
first time.

Filling the filter case
Arrows at the top edge of the filter case, on the filter
media securing plate and on the filter baskets
indicate the correct alignment.
 Align the filter media securing plate and all the filter
baskets such that all the arrows point in the same
direction as the arrow on the filter case.
 Insert the filter media securing plate, filter baskets
and filter materials into the filter case in the correct
order (see Figure A).
