8. SAFETY FEATURES AND MOTOR PROTECTION

The juice extractor Sanamat only runs, when the safety clasp is correctly closed.
When the safety clasp is open while the motor is running,the electrical connection
interrupts and the built-in braking device stops the centrifugal basket in seconds.
Once the safety clasp has been closed, the machine during 2 seconds with the appliance
switch must be turned off (Reset-function).
The appliance switch shall only be used to turn the machine on and off.
When the machine is overloaded or overheated, it switches off automatically. In this
case, it can be restarted some minutes later by pressing the appliance switch.
Afterwards work less intensive than before and replace if required the grating disc.

9. CLEANING

Rinse immediately the collecting bowl, plastic ring, centrifugal basket, lid and plunger, after
each use with water and clean them with a brush. Do not wait until the remains dry out.
Never submerge, doused or sprayed the motor unit in to water or any other
liquid! Never attempt to clean it with a water jet!
If necessary, clean the motor unit with a damp rag.
Danger!
Thorougly clean the machine after use every time. Incorrect and careless
cleaning could put the consumer at considerable risk of micro-organism
infection.
Important:
While processing vegetables, especially carrots, a layer is formed which may block
the sieve, so the function of the juicer is reduced ⇒ less juice.
Therefore, if necessary soak the centrifugal basket in a normal, diluted
washing liquid for dishes for an hour or two at least once a week and
clean it with a brush.
After each cleaning, put the machine back together.
Advice: The machine is giving the best juice yield, when the centrifugal basket
is laying in water (with detergent) during the night.
