The technical refinements
of the Ingenieur Chronograph
Your IWC watch shows you the time in hours, minutes
and seconds. You can measure any period in seconds
and minutes with the integrated chronograph. The stop
times can be added together. The mechanical move-
ment with automatic winding has 31 jewels (synthetic
rubies) and a power reserve of about 44 hours when fully
wound. The watch is water-resistant 12 bar and pro-
tected by a sapphire glass of hardness grade 9 on Mohs'
scale, which is retained securely in the case at low pres-
sure, for example caused by a drop in air pressure at
extreme altitudes. The inner case made of soft iron pro-
vides protection against magnetic fields. To ensure that
this extraordinary watch continues to perform its tasks
