35. Always keep the appliance and the accessories clean. Please
refer to the notes given in the manual.
36. Never clean the toaster with metal sponges. The metal parti-
cles in the sponge could come loose and touch the electrical
components in the appliance, causing electric shock.
37. Do not place any objects on the appliance.
38. Unwind the power cord fully before plugging the plug into
the socket.
39. Pull the plug after every use. Only then, the appliance is fully
switched off.
40. Note: This electric toaster can only be used after the power
plug has been connected and the appliance has been switched
on with the TOAST/CANCEL button!
41. Warning: Only use the appliance when it is standing upright.
The toaster must not be placed on its side! Never place filled
or covered toasts resp. slices of bread in the toaster, this can
cause electric shock resp. fire.
42. This toaster is only suitable for toasting bread, crumpets, ba-
gels or muffins. Should you toast any other foods in this
toaster, it could cause electric shock resp. fire.
43. Never try to remove slices of bread potentially stuck in the
appliance with metal instruments. To do that, use a plastic or
wooden instrument. In this event, the appliance must never
be warm or connected to the power.
