b) Aligning the Saw blade
The saw blade must be aligned accordingly depending on the grinding disc used.
With the slightly chamfered sand stone grinding disc, the other tooth area (tooth back)
can be ground as well; see figure.
Depending on the diameter of the saw blade, you need to align the saw blade arm (22) with the installed saw blade
accordingly so that the grinding disc is in parallel to the grinding area of the saw tooth. For this, loosen the fastening
wheel (18) and move or swivel the saw blade arm (22); check whether the saw blade can be positioned accordingly.
Depending on the diameter or the shape of the saw blade, the motor with the grinding disc can also be moved on
the bottom plate. Loosen four screws (7) and then position the grinding carriage with the motor on it accordingly.
Re-tighten four the screws (7). If the saw blades are very small, the grinding carriage must be pushed forward; if they
are very large, it must be pushed back.
On demand, the holding rod (21) for the saw blade arm (22) can be moved as well. To loosen the holding rod, there
is a hole in it near the bottom plate. You can push through a screwdriver to loosen the holding rod. After moving, the
holding rod is tightened again by turning accordingly.
The motor carrier can be inclined for saw blades with linked teeth. For this, loosen the two fastening nuts (3) for the
inclination setting; then the motor carrier can be aligned accordingly. A degree indication (4) for the inclination setting
is found on both holders (6) of the grinding carriage.
c) Setting the Saw Blade Support
The saw blade support (14) height must be set so that the saw blade is attached horizontally. When grinding, this
prevents the saw blade from bending downwards or oscillating. Loosen the counter nut (13) and adjust the saw blade
support (14). At the lower end, there is a hole; pushing through a screwdriver permits turning of the saw blade support
(14). When the correct height is set, tighten the counter-nut (13).
d) Setting Depth Stop for Grinding Carriage
Depending on the tooth size or shape of the saw blade, the path of the grinding carriage may be limited. For this, the
depth stop (20) can be positioned accordingly. Loosen the screw of the depth stop (20), move the depth stop and
tighten the screw again.
Check the limitation by moving the grinding carriage via the hand lever and observing the position of the grinding disc
on the saw blade.
The grinding disc must only touch the tooth of the saw blade but not cut into the saw blade.
