Use the following table to troubleshoot some common problems
you may encounter with the SR60 scanner.
SR60 Problems and Possible Solutions
Problem
No power to the
scanner.
Scanner is not
scanning bar codes.

Possible Solutions
Try these possible solutions:
• Make sure the cable is securely attached to
your SR60 and to the PC.
• Make sure that your host PC is turned on.
Power Off the Terminal (POT) cables
require that the PC be turned on.
• Scan a known good bar code to make sure
that it is a problem with the bar code.
• If the bar codes are poor quality, you may
want to modify the programmable settings
for advanced decoding. For help, see the
SR60 Programmer's Reference Manual
(P/N 937-004-xxx).
• Make sure the bar code symbology you are
trying to scan is enabled on the SR60.
