Requirements for the
installation location
For safe and flawless operation of
the unit, the place of location must
meet these prerequisites:
The unit must be set up on a

firm, flat, level, non-slip and heat
resistant base that has sufficient
load bearing capacity.
Select the place of location so

that children cannot reach the
hot surfaces of the unit.
■
The unit is not intended for in-
stallation in a wall or a built-in
cupboard.
■
Do not set up the unit in a hot,
wet or moist environment.
■
The electric socket must be read-
ily accessible so that the power
cord can be easily unplugged.
■
The unit emits a great amount
of heat towards the top. Never
place the unit on a cupboard,
under curtains or next to com-

bustible materials.
■
Never place the unit near paper,
fabric or similar materials. The
bread can burn.
Electric connection
Follow these instructions about the
electrical connection for safe and
flawless operation of the unit:

Before connecting the unit, com-
pare the connection information
(voltage and frequency) on the
rating plate with those of your
electrical network. This informa-
tion must match to avoid dam-
age to the unit. If in doubt, ask
your electrician.

The socket must be fused with at
least a 10A circuit breaker.
■
Make sure that the power cord is
not damaged. Do not conduct it
over hot surfaces or sharp edges.
■
The supply cord must not be
pulled tight.
■
The electrical safety of the unit
is only ensured if it is connected
to a properly installed protective
conductor
system.
