Keep this device away from children and unauthorized users.
Risk of electroshock when opening the cover. Touching live wires can
cause life-threatening electroshocks. Do not disassemble or open the
housing yourself. Have the device repaired by qualified personnel.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
Children shall be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
• Never leave the device unattended.
• Never aim the burner head directly at humans or animals.
• Do not apply the weed burner to the same place for a long time.
• Wear appropriate footwear and gloves when using the device.
• Never use the device with wet hands.
• Do not operate this device while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medicines.

3. General Guidelines

Keep this device away from dust and extreme
temperatures.
• Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it.
• All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by
user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
• Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised
way will void the warranty.
• Unplug the device immediately if the cable has been damaged.
• Never block the air intake of the device.

5. Operation
• Plug the device to the mains outlet.
• Switch the device on with the on / off button.
Notes
• Dry woods, leaves, pine needles and dry grasses may catch fire. Watch the treated
plants for some time after treatment.
• The best time to treat sprawl is in the spring. The results are not visible
immediately.
• Older plants with hard leaves, such as thistles, dry earliest after repeated
treatment at intervals of one to two weeks. Some types of grasses are extremely
robust and require a longer exposure to heat.
• The weed needs only be heated. Burning is not necessary. The cells of the leaves
dry out in this way and the weed dies.
• Certain weed species require repeated treatment.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

• The mains plug must be disconnected:
- When faults occurring during operation
- Before performing any cleaning
- After every use

Do not use near inflammable products or in explosive atmospheres.
Heat can cause fire to inflammable products even when they are not in
sight. Only use in properly ventilated areas.
Be careful when using the appliance in places where there are
combustible materials.
Device heats up during use. Never touch the nozzle or heat shield
while using the device. Let the device cool down for 30 minutes. Some
parts of the device get really hot, even after a short use.
Class II equipment.
• Do not use the device if you are ill or tired.
• Do not use the device as a heat source in your house or for melting ice and snow or
for any other use listed above.
• Make sure that the available voltage does not exceed the voltage stated in the
specifications of this manual.
• Do not use the device in wet weather.
• Keep the user manual for further reference.
Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when
operating the device.
• Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by
the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects
or problems.
• This device is not intended for professional use.
• This device serves exclusively to eliminate sprawl between paving stones, on paved
areas, from masonry, in flower beds and lawns during the growth period.
• You can also use the device for lighting charcoal barbecues outdoors. Observe the
operating instructions and regulations of the grill manufacturer.
• Let the device cool down before storage.
• If necessary, wipe the device with a dry, lint-free cloth or a brush.
• Do not immerse the device in any liquid.
• If the device falls into water, unplug it immediately. Never reach into the water when
the unit is still connected.
