Preventing an image from being burnt into the screen
If the same image is displayed on the screen for a long period of time, it may become burnt
into the screen. Perform the following actions in order to prevent this from occurring.
● Turn off the power supply when the computer and monitor are not being used.
● Please use the power-saver or screen-saver functions when possible.
Installation location for the monitor
● Place the monitor in a well-ventilated location.
Do not block the ventilation holes in order to prevent the internal temperature from rising.
● Do not place the monitor in a location where the temperature may become high.
Placing the monitor in a location where it is exposed to direct sunlight or near a
thermal device such as a heater may cause failure.
● Place the monitor indoors only.
The monitor is not designed to be used outdoors. Using it outdoors may cause failure.
● Place the monitor in a location where it will not be subjected to corrosive gases or
vibration.Placing the monitor in surroundings containing lampblack and/or corrosive gases,
or in places where the monitor is subjected to continuous vibrations, may cause failure.
Maintenance
● If the display surface becomes dirty, wipe it lightly with absorbent cotton or a piece of
soft, clean cloth.
● Dampen a piece of soft cloth with water or neutral detergent, wring it lightly, and lightly
wipe away dirt on parts other than the display surface. Do not use solvents such as
benzene or thinner.
● Do not allow water droplets to rest on the display surface. Wipe water drops away
immediately with absorbent cotton or a piece of soft, clean cloth. If water drops are left
on the display surface, the display surface may develop discoloration or stains.
Moreover, if water gets inside this product, it may be damaged.
Disposal
The backlight in this product contains mercury. Do not throw away this product together with
normal waste disposed of at a refuse site.
