How to insert the batteries into the door and window alarm
The transmitter of the alarm requires an AA battery. Replace the batteries as
follows:
» Open the case by inserting a broad slot screwdriver into the aperture at the
lower edge, then turn carefully.
» Insert the battery and mind the correct polarity. The negative pole must point
towards the spring.
» Shut the case by pressing both halves firmly against each other.
How to insert the batteries into the bell
The transmitter of the bell requires an 23 A 12 V battery.
» Open the case by inserting a broad slot screwdriver into the aperture at the
upper edge, then turn carefully.
» Insert the battery and mind the correct polarity. The negative pole must point
towards the spring.
» Shut the case by pressing both halves frmly against each other.
Installation of your Security DIY Alarm
Before you start, insert all batteries into the respective transmitters and plug
the hub into an electrical outlet within the range of your wireless network. Then
follow these steps one by one:
1. Download the app
Scan the appropriate QR code for your operating system in this manual or find
the app "X4-LIFE DIY alarm unit" in the Apple or Google store. Proceed with the
installation of the app.

2. Connect your smartphone with the alarm system
» Press the On/Off-switch on the hub three times. After each pressing, a beep
must be heard. Then a repeating beep will start. This is the pairing mode.
» Now quickly open the Wi-Fi settings of your phone. The hub sends a network
signal labelled "SA...". Please connect to this network. The standard network
key is 12345678.
» Now open the X4-LIFE app.
» Press the + symbol in the upper right corner and select "Cloud Security Alarm
System".
» Hit "search network". A device number will be displayed. Please press this
number. Now you can label the device. The standard password is 1234. Now
press the check mark in the upper right corner to execute the changes.
Please note
If the device is not found, please check if you are still connected to the Wi-Fi signal
of the hub. If not, repeat step 2.
3. Connecting the alarm system with your WiFi
» The home screen of the app now displays the connected device. Please
tap on it.
» Now you can see a settings symbol in the upper right corner. Touch it and
select "Wi-Fi settings".
» You can now enter the Wi-Fi SSID (network name) and the network key of your
home network. Please remember the correct spelling. Otherwise select
"Wi-Fi management" to scan available networks.
» Confirm your entry by tapping the check mark in the upper right corner.
Your unit is now connected to the network and the internet.
» If an error occurs or you are unable to control the unit with your smartphone,
you are probably no longer connected to the Wi-Fi signal of the smart hub.
In this case, go to the Wi-Fi settings of your smartphone and connect again
to the "SA..." network. Return to the app and try again.
» Your smartphone now has access to your alarm system from anywhere as
long as both devices are connected to the internet.
