1. Transmitter
• Connect the device to your computer by means of the enclosed USB cable and set the switch (p.1 #6) to USB
• OR connect the device to an audio source with the enclosed RCA cable, set the switch (p.1 #6) to "BATT/ ADAPTOR" and
insert 4 AA batteries (not incl.) in the battery compartment at the bottom
• OR connect the device to an audio source with the enclosed RCA cable, set the switch (p.1 #6) to "BATT/ ADAPTOR" and
connect the device to the mains by means of a 6V/100mA regulated power adapter (not incl.).
• Put the antenna upright, set the tuning wheel to the middle position and start the audio source.
2. Receiver
• Put 6 'C' batteries (not incl.) in the battery compartment at the bottom of the receiver or connect it to the mains by means of a
9V/1A regulated power supply (not incl.).
• Switch the receiver on (p.2 #3), the power/tuning indicator lights up.
• If it is green, the receiver should receive the signal ; set the volume control to the desired level.
• If it is red, search for the signal by means of the tuning button. If the power/tuning indicator turns from red to green, you have
found the signal ; set the volume control to the desired level
3. Fine-tuning
• For optimal tuning, transmitter and receiver should be approx. 15 feet apart.
• Pause the audio source and further tune the receiver so the background noise is reduced to a minimum.
• Put the receiver in the desired location, resume audio playback and adjust the receiver volume.
• Note: the longer the distance, the weaker the signal and the stronger the interference.
6. Troubleshooting
- Check if the transmitter is switched on (power indicator is lit)
- Check if the receiver is switched on and is receiving signal (power indicator is green)
no sound
- Check if the audio source is switched on and emitting signal (also check the cable)
- Check if the receiver volume control is not set to the minimum
- Check the condition of the batteries
- Check if the transmitter antenna is upright
interference,
- Check if the audio source itself is clear and undistorted
distorted sound
- Fine tune the receiver to reduce the background noise
- Check if the problem does not solve itself by changing the transmitter and/or receiver location
- Change the tuning setting of the transmitter and adjust the tuning of the receiver accordingly
