Salt furnace
• The minimum distance to other burning candles may not be less than 10 cm.
• Always use only a maxi tealight in accordance with RAL-GZ 041 as a heat source in the salt furnace in order to prevent
overheating or an increased risk of fire.
• Do not move a burning tealight!
• Do not use scented tealights because these produce too much soot.
• Never use liquid for extinguishing!
• After each tealight burns out, check the underside of the water basin for soot and remove this where necessary.
• Keep the salt furnace out of reach of children and pets during operation and for storage! Risk of injury!
• Use exclusively with the product components provided (tealight not included in the scope of delivery).
• The salt furnace gets hot! Do not touch the salt furnace before it has cooled.
• Avoid drafts!
• Protect against frost, risk of breakage!
Use:
Use exclusively with the product components provided for the operation of the salt furnace.
Place the tealight in the base. Now light the tealight with a match or lighter. Now put the glass body on and place the water
basin on it. In the assembled state you now fill water with the help of a measuring cup up to the max. line.
Caution: Do not overfill the water basin! Now place the screen on. Place any amount of salt stones you want on the screen.
The intensity depends on the quantity of salt stones. Of course, the quantity can be reduced, increased or replenished after
some time as desired. Now place the cover on.
Enjoy the invigorating and beneficial effect.
At will, fragrance oil can be added in the water. However fragrance oils can cause discoloration of the inside of the lid.
The use of tap water is possible, but can lead to lime spots on the stainless steel parts. These can be
cleaned with the help of a lime remover. To avoid lime residues, we recommend destilled water.
To extinguish the candle, carefully lift the glass body with a potholder and do not lay it on flammable ground. Blow the candle
out with care.
ATTENTION! The hot water in the water basin as well as the glass and stainless steel parts can lead to
burns. Wear safety gloves!
The water basin and the sieve are made of high quality stainless steel, due to its composition it is
basically rust resistant. Nevertheless, extraneous rust can build up on the stainless steel caused by the
accumulation of foreign particles and salt desposits during operation, which in combimation with air
oxidize and become visible as rust deposits.
This is not a reason for complaint. Such rust deposits can be easily removed by timely, regularly and
thorough treatment with commercially available stainless steel cleaning agents.
Cleaning:
The stainless steel parts are suitable for dishwashers! The concrete parts are not dishwasher suitable and require hand
cleaning with non-aggressive and non-abrasive cleaning agents.
Clean the water basin and the screen after each use in order to remove any soot/salt/combustion residues from the interior
and underside. Allow the water basin and screen to cool fully before removing the rest of the salt and cleaning the water basin
and the screen. Carefully clean the salt furnace with a dry or slightly moist cloth. The water basin must be completely emptied,
otherwise salt flowers can form on all parts. Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents as these may damage the
surfaces.
Disposal:
In order to protect against damage during transportation, the salt furnace is delivered in packaging made from recyclable
materials. Dispose of these, unmixed, in the collection containers provided. For environmentally friendly disposal of the
product, talk to your local waste management company or your municipal administration.
