The Bourgini Easy Rice Cooker consists of the
following:
1. Glass lid with steam vent
2. Inner pan
3. Stay-warm light
4. Cooking light
5. Control knob
6. Measuring cup
7. Rice spoon
8. On/off switch
POSITIONING
Remove the appliance and the accessories from
the box. Remove all stickers, protective foil or
plastic from the appliance.
Set the appliance on a flat, stable surface. The
appliance requires sufficient space around it
(10 cm) to allow heat to escape. This appliance
is not suitable for use outdoors. Do not install/
mount this appliance.
Clean the appliance and accessories. See
"Cleaning and maintenance".
Ensure that the inner pan contains fluid before
turning on the rice cooker.
Thoroughly dry the outside of the inner pan
before placing it in the appliance. A wet inner
pan may cause the appliance to create noise.

The appliance will produce a mild odour when it
is used for the first time. This is normal. Ensure
that there is enough ventilation. This odour is
temporary and will disappear quickly.
NOTE: WHEN COOKING RICE, PLACE THE INNER
PAN IN THE RICE COOKER AND MAKE SURE IT IS
WELL-SEATED ON THE HEATING PLATE BY MOVING
IT ABOUT, IF NECESSARY.
GENERAL USAGE
Cooking rice
Use the measuring cup to measure out the
desired amount of rice. One measuring cup of
rice is about enough for one person, depending,
of course, on personal preferences.
Thoroughly wash the rice in clean water and
drain it. If you do not wash the rice, this may lead
to poor results and/or a build-up of steam in the
appliance. Do not use the inner pan to wash the
rice, as this may cause damage.
Place the rice in the inner pan and ensure that it
is level.
Add a sufficient amount of cold water, as
indicated on the inside of the inner pan, e.g. for
two cups of rice, place the washed rice in the
inner pan and add water up to the level indicated
for two cups. The amount of water can be
adjusted to meet personal tastes. For softer rice,
add more water than indicated; for firmer rice,
add less water than indicated.
Set the inner pan in the rice cooker. Ensure that
there is no rice or moisture present on the
outside of the inner pan.
Close the lid of the rice cooker and ensure that
the ventilation opening is directed away from
you.
Plug in the rice cooker and turn the control knob
to "Cook". The cooking light will turn on.
Once the rice has been cooked, the rice cooker
will automatically switch over to the "Warm"
setting, as indicated by the stay-warm light.
Open the lid and allow the condensation to drip
off the lid and into the rice. Use the spatula to
loosen up the rice and to serve the rice from the
pan. Close the lid of the rice cooker as quickly as
possible.
Consume the rice within one hour.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

before cleaning and servicing.
