Warnings & Precautions
1 Product can be used outdoors and indoors.
2 Ensure that the product is appropriately protected against temperature
changes, which may result in damage from contraction and expansion.
3 For decorative use only. Not to be used by children as a toy. Keep out of reach
of small children.
4 Never decorate this product when it's switched on!
5 Do not cut, shorten or change the product in any way!
6 Never switch the product on while it is still in the packaging.
7 Never use this product under water or with wet hands!
8 Never use this product near objects that burn or explode easily!
9 Do not position this product near heaters or any direct source of heat.
11 Only use the product in a well ventilated and cooled environment.
12 If you are using this product outdoors, always use an IP-X4 outdoor socket for
connecting it to the mains supply.
13 When using the product outdoors, always use a residual current circuit-breaker
(FI-30mA) between mains (220 - 240V) and the product.
14 Take care not to damage the cable or insulation!
15 Lamps must not and can not be changed.
16 Always make sure that all connections are secured and screwed together
tightly.
17 Never connect the product with any other electrical product, only those
manufactured by MK-Illumination.
18 Never connect this product with filament products. Not 12V or 24V compatible.
18 QuickFix® connectors which are not fastened completely or poor gluing of
connectors can allow water to enter, resulting in a short circuit and/or damage
to the entire product.
19 If this product is damaged please destroy.
20 Always dispose damaged products accordingly.
21 Please note that the sensitivity of the lamps increases with the number of hours
in use (vibrations, impacts, changes to voltage).
22 This product must be installed by a qualified specialist!
23 Always contact a qualified electrician for technical questions.

Warnings - Before you start
25 Pay close attention to this manual and stay within it's warnings and precautions
while using the product!
26 Before using the product check that the decoration has been connected to the
appropriately rated QuickFix® 36V Power Supply.
27 Before use check the product for damaged wiring.
28 For the QuickFix® connectors, ensure that the sealing ring is seated and the
shrink tube is positioned correctly.
29 Don't install the product if it is very cold. Cracks in the insulation can be the
result. Risk of electric shock.
30 Ensure that the supply cord is not subject to mechanical stress.
31 Don't hang any objects at the product.
32 Note, that the life span of this product depends on the way you handle with it
when assembling, dismantalling and how it is stored.
33 Handle this product carefully and appropriately.
Warnings - Mounting
34 Always make sure that norm VDE 0100 or your specific country norm is obeyed
during installation.
35 Outdoor installation shall only be done during dry weather conditions.
36 Never use any heavy, sharp edged tools or mounting accessories (e.g. metal
wires) to install the product. They could damage the wiring, causing short
circuits. This can lead to fire.
37 Always mount the product securely and as straight as possible. Don't let the
product hang loose or swing!
38 For Installation (e.g. catenary wire, gutter) you should use UV-protected cable
ties.
39 When plastic strings, cable strips, adhesive tape or screw bridges are used
for installing the product, take care not to fix the parts too tight and that the
mechanical pressure on the product is not too high. This could result in a
damage of the insulation.
40 Do not hit the product with a hammer or other tool as this could damage the
lamps!
41 If the product is installed to hang freely, it must be attached using a steel cable
and clipped to it every 10 cm.
42 We suggest for a appropriate installation our original accessories: Mounting
Stick 015-019
43 Never exceed the max. torsion forces of 0,5 kg for each single cable and
connector! For reference: 1 STING LITE® segment = approx. 0,32 kg
44 Make sure you are installing the product with appropriate torsion relief's.
45 Never connect more products than allowed!
46 Always note the maximum amount of connectable products, which you find in
the table above, on the packaging and in our product catalogue.
