5. Changing batteries:
You need four 1,5 Volt alkaline batteries of the size LR6 for this safe. Please use
only high quality-products that have sufficient power, last long enough and are safe
of leakage. When the batteries are low, you will see the message Lo-BAE appear on the
display after pressing START. The factory recommends Varta Alkaline batteries for
perfect function. Please return used batteries to official collecting points, thus
helping to protect the environment. To change the batteries, proceed as follows:
• Push the battery cover, located beside the keypad, to the right.
• Replace the batteries ⇒ take care of the correct polarity + / - .
• Close the battery cover by pushing it to the left.
6. Programming your emergency code:
This safe is equipped with an emergency code. If necessary, you can open the safe
without user code. Keep your code in a safe place but never inside your safe. To
programme a new emergency code, proceed as follows:
• Open the door according to item 2 of the instructions manual.
• Press the red RESET button on the inside of the door.
• Press START.
• Enter your present 3 to 8 digit code n n n n n n n n
emergency code
• Press START.
• Enter your new 3 to 8 digit code n n n n n n n n.
• Press START.
• Renter your new 3 to 8 digit code n n n n n n n n.
• Press START.
• Your new emergency code is programmed.
7. Emergency lock:
This safe is equipped with an emergency lock. If necessary, you can open the safe
without any code. The emergency lock allows you to open your safe mechanically. Keep
the key in a safe place but never inside your safe. To open the safe with the
emergency lock, proceed as follows:
• Push the battery cover, located beside the keypad, to the right.
• Remove the batteries.
• Insert the key into the lock and turn it to the left.
• Turn the handle to the right.
• Open the door.
• The safe is open.
8. Recommendation:
Your safe is equipped with fastening holes. For safety reasons, we recommend that you
secure the safe in its place in such way that it can't be carried away in case of
burglary. The best way to secure the safe depends on the location, and it may be
helpful to get advice from an expert.
