my. Moreover, it doesn't discharge
when it hasn't been used for pro-
longed periods and does not have
a memory effect. The memory ef-
fect is a phenomenon that affects
the performance and the life of
other types of batteries when they
are recharged before being fully
discharged.
Before using the clipper for the
first time, charge the battery for
3 straight hours. The battery will
only reach its maximum capacity
after 3 full charge and discharge
cycles.
OPERATION
Mains charging with use of rechar-
geable batteries:
1. Before using the clipper for the
first time, allow to charge for 3
hours. Make sure that the clipper
is turned off.
2. Insert the adaptor plug into the
clipper socket or the charging
base then plug the adaptor into
the mains. The LED screen will
then display the autonomy and
the symbol
indicating that the unit is charging.
NOTE: use the adaptor that comes
with the appliance only.
LOCKING AND UNLOCKING THE
CLIPPER
To lock the unit, press and hold
will begin to flash,
the switch until the 3-second
countdown appears and finishes
counting down. The symbol
begin to flash, indicating that the
unit is locked.
To unlock the unit, press and hold
the switch until the 3-second

ATTENTION: if the LED display
shows the words «Hi» or «Low»,
immediately check if the adapter
mentions the reference «CA78M».
If the «Er» symbol is displayed on
the screen, stop charging imme-
diately and contact the After-Sales
Service.

Cutting guides
This clipper comes with 8 cutting
guides.
Always fit the cutting guide onto
the clipper before turning it on
and turn the clipper off before
changing the guide.
- First place the cutting guide on
the clipper teeth then press on
the back of the guide until you
hear it click into place.
- To remove, first detach the back
of the guide then lift it up.
