Lifting

Lift from sitting position
The sling is placed under the user as shown on fig. 1. Lift
the leg up and pull the leg straps under it. See fig. 2. The
straps on the leg straps are crossed (fig 3) and placed on
the hooks on the spreader bar.
Note: Only for Comfort sling:
The straps on the comfort sling are not supposed to be
crossed. The short strap (opposite the yellow strap) is put
through the yellow strap and both of the long straps are
put through the short blue straps.
Ensure that sling loops are placed correctly on the
spreader bar hooks.
Ensure the patient sits/lies safely before taking off
the sling.
Lift from bed or floor
The user is rolled on to the side and the sling folded on the middle. The folded edge is placed under the
user. See fig. 4. The user is rolled on to the other side and the sling is folded out again. The leg straps are
put under the thighs of the user. Sling straps are placed on the hooks on the spreader bar. The user is being
lifted (fig 5).
